Dear Friends,
I will very much miss my friend, Betty Bond. She was an invaluable source of information and tips as I researched the house histories of the Kansas City Symphony Designers’ Showhouse. As she said, “I know where all the bodies are buried.”
I haven’t seen Betty Bond in several years, and have just learned of her passing. She and my grandmother, Lucy May (Bond) Martin were cousins and childhood companions; both strong and smart.
I liked Betty a lot, and enjoyed talking with her. When younger, on my best days, I could almost keep up with her. ‘An amazing person, eh?
I imagine, since her death, she’s kept busy working with the people who run Heaven; straightening them out.
