Helen M. Foederer, 91, of Prairie Village, Kansas passed away peacefully on December 13, 2016. She was born February 26, 1925 in Hausham Bavaria Germany to Christian and Magdalena (Niederegger) Hoefner. She immigrated to the United States in 1929 and settled in Highland, Illinois where she graduated from St. Paul’s High School. She pursued a career as a medical and x-ray technologist graduating from Gradwohl School of Laboratory Technology and attended Indiana State University. She worked in her field at various hospitals and clinics over the years.
She married Herbert Foederer in 1954. The Foederer’s moved to Edwardsville, Illinois where she lived and worked most of her life before moving to Prairie Village in 2010. Surviving are 2 daughters, Christine (Lorry) Nelson and Julie (James) Linstaedt, and 4 grandchildren Ryan and Alex Dinyer, Erika and Elizabeth Linstaedt.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A visitation will be held on December 28th at St Boniface Catholic Church, 110 N. Buchanan St., Edwardsville, IL at 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 am. A luncheon will be served immediately following the service. Burial will take place at 2:30 pm at St. Josephs Cemetery in Highland, IL.
