All my prayers and sympathy.
Joe King is our legendary friend from TWA. We spent many momentous occasions and smaller memorable ones with Joe and Rose over our years in KC. To elaborate on how special this man was and will always be to our family – he was the first person to meet our son outside of Bill and I. He was our patient and joyful camera man at our wedding in Las Vegas. He made us laugh until our bellies ached and tears streamed down our faces. He made every moment we spent together priceless. Rose and Joe hold a very special place in our hearts and when we left Kansas City – there they resided and always will. God Bless all of us that will miss this man dearly and especially bless Rose Marie, Joseph Michael, Suzanne, grandchildren and family of this amazing man. RIP Joe – always in our hearts. Bill, Linda and Matthew Reisen

Joe traveled to El Buen Pastor in El Salvador in early February 1990. He was the first of the travelers to see the newly built homes and guesthouse in the community. The El Salvador Ministry at Good Shepherd Parish extend our condolences and prayers to Rose Marie and family.
We were Joe’s neighbors tor 25 years! Time flies. One of my early memories was my husband having car trouble and we had only one car. I asked joe to give me a ride to 75th and metcalf to meet up with him and he willingly obliged. I was able to return the favor many years later. This was probably about 8 years ago. Rose was working at the polls on Election Day. Joe went outside to see her off and locked himself out. It was probably 30 min later I went out the doors to exercise at the Y. There he stood in his pajamas! It was a cool day as I recall. He asked me to give him a ride to the polling place where she was working so he could get the car and the keys and drive back home.
I also remember about 4 years ago when my mom had Alzheimer’s. Joe baked cookies for her on a couple of occasions and he and Rose attended her memorial service when the time came. Joe I know you are in a better place now and our prayer is for comfort for your family!
