Laura Anne Giblin, 56, of Fairway, Kansas, passed away suddenly on April 24, 2026.
Born in Statesboro, Georgia, Laura brought warmth, humor, and resilience to every chapter of her life. She attended St. Teresa’s Academy, where she was proudly crowned Prom Queen in 1987, a reflection of her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to those around her. She later attended Central Missouri State University, where she was a member of Sigma Kappa and formed lifelong friendships.
Laura spent many years working in the service industry, where her charisma, keen humor and dedication shone brightly. In 1995, she was honored with the Bartender of the Year award, a testament to her skill and the genuine connections she made with others. Above all, Laura cherished her role as a homemaker, creating a space filled with love, laughter, and comfort for those she held dear.
She is survived by her loving mother, Mary Giblin; her twin sister Lisa Giblin Sutton, and siblings Suzanne Dawkins, Amy Giblin, and Tony Giblin. Laura also leaves behind a large extended family of relatives and friends who will deeply miss her presence in their lives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Giblin, and her brother, Patrick Giblin.
A visitation will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5500 Woodson Road, Mission, Kansas on Friday, May 1, 2026 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.
No graveside services are planned at this time.

Laura will be remembered for her kindness, her spirited personality, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her remarkable sense of humor and ability to make people laugh. She was really, really funny.

I knew Laura in highschool as a fun, kind, outgoing and humorous person. She will be missed.
I’m met Laura when she came to Indiana in February. Joe, Laura and myself went out to eat. I really enjoyed her company. She is such a sweet person. My heart breaks for the family and also for Joe farnsley.
My heart goes out to the Giblin family and friends. She was a true good spirit now she is making everyone including our Lord laugh.
