April 30, 1923 to February 2, 2025

Angeline Messina, 101, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025 at her care facility.

She was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1923 to Frank and Rosaline Messina.  She grew up in the city’s northeast and attended Glennon Catholic High School.  Angeline was a bookkeeper at several area businesses before becoming a fulltime care giver to her parents.  Caregiving led to her continued calling of service, helping raise and support a younger cousin, Peter.  Later she found great joy in being deeply involved with her two great nephews as they grew-up and whose lives she helped shape.  She was always guided by her unyielding faith and love of Christ.

Angeline was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rosaline Messina and her sister Marie Manzo.  She is survived by her two nieces, Diane Hariton of Beverly Hills, California, Anita Danneberg of Leawood, Kansas and her two cherished great nephews, Henry and Sam Danneberg of Overland Park, Kansas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 7th at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Road, Prairie Village, Kansas followed by internment at Mr. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Raytown Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her honor to your place of worship.
