Michael William Davis, 26, of Leawood, Kansas, passed away on December 4, 2018.
Michael was born on March 24, 1992 in Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from Austin High School in Sugar Land, Texas, and then attended The University of Kansas, studying chemical engineering. He loved his job at Buckley’s Wine Market where he developed an appreciation and knowledge of wines, as well as lasting friendships with the owners and customers.
Michael leaves behind his loving family—his parents, Bill and Julie Davis; his sister, Lindsey Davis Hughes, and her husband, Stafford Hughes; Grandparents, Mike and Judy Sizemore, John and Barbara Davis, Patty Jones; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dick Roland Jones.
Michael was deeply loved by all who knew him. His family, friends, and countless people he impacted over the years will forever miss his smile, sense of humor and big bear hugs.
To honor Michael’s life, memorials may be given to Speak Up — an organization helping students, families and schools talk about mental health at a young age.
A family service honoring Michael will be held in Oakville, California.
