Paul H. Reed, 94, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on November 16 at 8:30 am.  Paul was born in Brookville, Indiana to Margaret and Glenn Reed and raised in Brook, Indiana.  He lived most of his life in Indiana, Kansas and Missouri.

Paul was a “hump pilot” in WWII, flying supplies over the Himalayas, sometimes landing under enemy fire.  Later in life he became a psychologist, practicing primarily in southeast Kansas.  He was the director of the Four County Mental Health Clinic in Independence, Kansas.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Kansas City, his two daughters, Katharine and Rebecca, also of Kansas City, his son Mark of Eugene, Oregon, his two stepsons Stephen and David Thurston of Albuquerque, New Mexico, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his first wife Louise, and his second wife Norma with whom he had a son, Bryan, who died of Leukemia in 1974.

Paul was admired throughout his life for his intellect, his steady nature and his kindness.  He will be greatly missed by his wife and family.
