Permilla Jane (Fencil) O’Flynn, 93, passed away on January 7, 2012 at Grace Gardens of Leawood, KS.  The memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 10:00 am,  at the Village Presbyterian Church 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village.  There will a reception following the service in the Friendship Hall.    In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Village Presbyterian Church Food Pantry.
Jane was born on November 19, 1919 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Clyde and Mary Emma Elliott Fencil.  Moving to Kansas City in 1926, she graduated from Westport High School  in 1937.  She married Henry R. O’Flynn on May 23, 1940.  After the war, they moved to Prairie Village, KS.  Primarily a homemaker raising three boys, she also devoted much of her life to helping others.  She was very active with Lambda Tau Delta philanthropic organization as well as volunteering with St. Luke’s Hospital and the Village Church food pantry.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 44 years.  She is survived by son John, grandson James, wife Peggy and two great granddaughters, granddaughter  Shannon, husband Matt  and three  great granddaughters; son Ric, wife Debbie and  grandson Jeffrey;  son Bill, wife Mary and grandsons, Patrick and Michael.
Jane’s favorite past times included painting, being with family and friends, reading, attending dinner theatre, traveling, cooking and playing bridge.  Everyone will dearly miss her.  Her final interment will be with her husband at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.  The family offers special thanks to her caregivers at Grace Gardens Retirement community and the support from Village Presbyterian Church.   Arr:  Signature Funerals  8019 State Line Rd.  Kansas City, MO  64114  816-214-5174  www.cathyb6.sg-host.com
