Leo E. “Brother Lee” Loschke, 87, of Leawood, Kan., died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Menorah Medical Center. Visitation will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, at Cure’ of Ars Church, 9401 Mission Rd., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Upon graduation from De La Salle Military Academy, Lee enlisted in theU.S. Coast Guard. After active duty, he signed a contract as a pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers. His love of athletics led him to asst.-coaching baseball and basketball at Lillis and St. Mary’s high schools. He became associated with John Hancock Life in 1948 and remained active in his career for over 60 years. Lee is survived by his wife, Esther, son, John Lee and grandsons, Michael Lee and Jordon Lee.
