Audrey Grady Webster of Kansas City, Missouri died on October 13, 2015. Audrey was born January 30, 1921 in San Francisco to Lucille Johnston Carmody and George C. Carmody.
Audrey graduated from The University of California at Berkeley in 1942 with a degree in Economics. After college, while working in San Francisco, she met her future husband, WWII Naval Officer, John M. Webster. They were married in 1944 in Washington, D. C. and following their wedding moved to Kansas City to start their family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and John, her husband of almost 50 years.
She is survived by her three children: son, John M. Webster (Sherry), daughter, Nancy W. Menihan (Peter), and son, Peter C. Webster. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Erin M. Falley (Jake), Peter C. Menihan (Sarah), J. Patrick Menihan, and John M. Webster IV; and five great-grandchildren: Grace, Hayden and Parker Falley & Jacob and Logan Menihan.
Audrey was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church, the Junior League, and Mission Hills Country Club. She was a member of St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary and for many years volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
Audrey (Nana) was beloved by her family and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. She loved to laugh, had a wonderful sense of humor and lived every day with grace. Above all else, she was a lady.
