Beverly grew up in Kansas City, KS attending Wyandotte High School where she was involved in band. She was a classical pianist – playing piano as a child and continuing throughout her entire life. Known for her musical talent, Beverly was truly an entertainer in every sense of the word. She played piano professionally with a stage name of the Amazing Sue Charles. Family and friends have hours and hours of great memories singing songs and challenging Bev to play different songs. She never lost that game.
Bev was a member of the Church of the Nativity in Leawood where she loved to work at the Knights of Columbus fish fry’s and other parish events. Bev loved to play piano for Nativity, nursing homes, senior centers, and hospice house around the Kansas City area. She loved to travel, especially to the Lake of the Ozarks, and has had the pleasure to live all over the country. She loved to travel and has had the pleasure to live all over the country.
While there are hundreds of “Bev-isms”, she is most known for her incredible graciousness and the ability to see nothing but the best in any person or situation. She never met a stranger and no matter where she went, she always walked away with a new best friend! We are all truly blessed to have had her in our lives. She was the best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, diva, and performer we have ever known. She not only was our mother, but our very best friend.
