Brenda Kay Breeden, 54, passed away after a lengthy battle with COPD. She died the morning of November 6th, 2020 in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on July 8th, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri to James Ross & Ernestine (Green) Drake. Brenda left behind her boyfriend of 14 years, James Wade. She was a beloved mother to Christina Wright (Daniel), Clinton Ross, Cody Breeden, James Breeden, Jennifer Collins (Aaron), and step-children James Wade and Tiffany Wade. She was a caring sister to Marilyn Sue Snow (Jr.), Nona Elizabeth Thompson, James Earl Ross, and Tracy Lynn Marley (Steve). She was blessed with 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father James Ross, stepfather Eugene Kelly, siblings William Robert Drake Jr, Ernest Gene Drake, Brian Keith Drake, and Trourina Ann Ross.
Brenda was a stay at home mother who enjoyed being with her grandchildren, reading, spending time outdoors, traveling, and making arts and crafts. She loved wildlife and to watch TV shows, especially about the supernatural. Brenda enjoyed a life filled with love and will be greatly missed.
The family is having a celebration of life Wednesday, November 11th, at Wilbur Young Park in Blue Springs, MO from 1-5 PM at shelter 1. Loved ones will briefly speak at 1:45. Her final arrangements are being handled by Signature Funerals in Kansas City, MO. Assistance by Funeral Advocates, LLC
