​Cecil Edward Witt, 60,  of Lenexa KS, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 19,  2018. C.E. was born on November 8 1957, in Russell, KS to Cecil and Bobbie Witt. He graduated from Russell High School in 1976, and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in 1981.

C.E. was a proud member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was an avid golfer, pheasant hunter, dog lover, and passionate KU sports fan. He loved traveling, single-malt Scotch, cigars, listening to music, and most importantly, spending time with his family. Everyone who knew C.E. absolutely adored him. He had the happiest personality, and was an outstanding story-teller. He lit up every room with his smile and was always the life of the party.

Funeral services will be held at Colonial Church  7039 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS 66208  on Saturday February 24, 2018.   Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a memorial service at 12:30, and burial at Johnson County Memorial Gardens 11200 Metcalf Ave at 2:30.   There will be a Celebration of Life gathering held at Falcon Valley Golf Course at 3:00 pm to cheer on C.E.’s Jayhawks.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving partner Amy Roberts, his four children Suzanne Stockton (Aaron), Trey Witt, Taylor Witt, and Todd Witt, their mother Jody Myers (Kent), his father Cecil Witt (Karen Caylor), his siblings Stephanie Elliott (Tim), Bruce Witt (Janice), and Amy McFarland (Mark), his two grandsons Connor and Cody, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members​, and friends​.
