Catherine (Cathy) Rutledge Davis, 76, passed away March 23rd, 2016 at St. Luke’s on the Plaza. Funeral services will be private and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cure’ of Ars, endowment fund; 9360 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS 66206
Cathy was born on July 12th, 1939 in Maryville, MO, the daughter of Howard Pendleton and Teresa Helen Gregory Rutledge. She married Glen Edward Davis, Oct. 24th, 1964 in St. Joseph, MO at the Cathedral. She graduated valedictorian from Convent of the Sacred Heart in St. Joseph. Cathy graduated from Duchesne College, Omaha NE with a BA in English and History as well as Secondary Education. She earned her Masters Degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She taught school in Omaha and Kansas City. She was a substitute teacher in public, private and parochial schools. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry. She is survived by her husband, Glen Davis, children, Jim (Lori); John (Kim); Ann (Dick) Harmes; Kate (Scott) Ellmaker, and 9 grandchildren. Assistance by Funeral Advocates.
