Christine Theresa (Jungbluth) Knuth

1949-2022

Christine “Chris” (Jungbluth) Knuth died peacefully at home on April 28, 2022.

Chris was born in Lacrosse, Wisconsin on December 27, 1949, the daughter of John and Alice Jungbluth. She lived a very full and beautiful life, moving many times and gathering many friends along the way. She was so caring and giving, a true “people person” who didn’t meet a soul she couldn’t talk to. She was an expert listener, and her advice was full of love and sincerity. She truly was a genuine friend.

Her life was fulfilling in so many ways as a devoted wife and mother, an aerobics instructor, an exercise program director, a claims adjustor, and probably her favorite calling as a nanny to several Kansas City families. Her success was truly in the many lives she touched.

Chris lives on through her muchloved family; her husband of 42 years, Fred; daughter Lisa (Matt) Heitzsons Kevin and Ryan (Caitlin); her two dogs Alice and Sophie; grandchildren whom she took such pride inAndrew, Grace, Luke, Holland, and Braeden; Sisters Nancy (Brian) Jacenko, Susan (Jeff) Gahan, David (Lisa) Jungbluth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Chris’ family would like to express sincere gratitude for the kind, loving support of her various caregivers, friends, and family during her courageous fight with cancer. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at KU Medical Center, the Village at Mission, and Harbor Hospice.

A funeral Mass will be held on June 11, 2022 at 11:00am, St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS. Memorial contributions in Chris’ name may be made to either the Glioblastoma Foundation or The Great Plains SPCA.  Assistance with Funeral Advocates, LLC.
