Cody Scott Dennis was such a creative and compassionate person, it’s hard to know where to begin.
He was first a son – Born April 23rd, he was a joy to be around with his wonderful smile and vibrant energy. He really loved his family.
He was a brother – As the middle child, he brought a new dimension of joy to our family. Tyler was the one to look before leaping, Cody would leap then maybe look. Aubree would just watch and learn from them. There was never a dull moment with him.
He was a friend – He was loyal and kind to everyone he met, always thinking of their needs before his own. He loved to play a round of golf or disc golf with friends whenever he had a chance.
Cody was born in KCMO and lived most of his life in Grandview, graduation from Grandview High School where he was on the baseball and football team.
He worked at Quik Trip for 12 years and affected so many lives there. When they had Cody change stores, there were customers who changed their primary store to still be able to see him.
He is survived by his brother, Tyler, and his sister, Aubree, as well has his mother, Kelli. He is now with his father Stephen who preceded him by 6 years.
He will be greatly missed by so many, but mostly his family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4th at 2pm at Kairos Church, 2217 High Grove Rd. Grandview, MO 64030. The family will greet people in the foyer following the service and a reception will be held in the church basement. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Child Life at Children’s Mercy.
So sorry for your loss! May the Lord be your strength and comfort, in Jesus’ Name.
