Conor James Lyons, 34, died from a sudden heart attack January 8, 2014.  Conor leaves behind his beloved wife Laura, mother Jo Ellyn Lyons, brothers Devon and Mark, mother and father in-law John and Patty Harrigan, brother and sister in-law Jack and Annie Harrigan. He was predeceased in death by his father James Lyons.

Conor graduated from Rockhurst High School in 1998, where he participated in football, swimming, and played rugby for the Junior Blues. Conor pursued higher education at Montana and Kansas Universities; he graduated with a  Bachelors of Arts from UMKC.  Conor was actively pursuing an additional degree in computer programming from Johnson Country Community College.

Conor married Laura Harrigan on June 15, 2012. They honeymooned while traveling Ireland, where he fulfilled a lifetime goal of visiting the country of his heritage.  Conor and Laura loved their time in Ireland especially the City of Galway.

Conor worked as a lifeguard, a general laborer for Home Rite Remodeling, and was in the restaurant and hospitality industry for 15 years.  Conor recently resigned from his job at Lucky’s  Brewgrille to start a home remodeling business with a long-time friend.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm Tuesday, January 14th, 2014, at Second Presbyterian Church, 318 E. 55th Street, KCMO 64113 Reception to follow in Church Hall.

Conor was loved and will be missed by his friends and family.
