Cyrus W. DeWolf was born Oct. 30, 1944 to Cyrus  DeWolf and Lakota (Searles) DeWolf.  He is preceded in death by his parents and two older sisters, Estelle (Searles) Pattinson and JoAnne Searles AKA Mary Evelyn Roberts.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Teresa and his daughter, Serena, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, his sister, Marye Ann Carstenson and her husband Chris and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cyrus graduated Cum Laude from Rapid City High School, Rapid City, South Dakota in January, 1962 and moved with a friend to Kansas City, MO in February, 1962 where he met his wife Teresa.  They were married in October, 1963.

Cyrus was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in February,1959 in Casper, Wyoming. Through the years he had many privileges serving in many different positions aiding his dear brothers and sisters.  He and Teresa enjoyed traveling with the organization attending many international conventions and on their own, making it possible to visit all  continents except the Arcticas. And having the privilege to live and work with the locals for a year and 5 weeks in Nicaragua.

Cyrus worked at Twin City State Bank for 29 1/2 years.  Eventually becoming a Vice-President of Installment Loans and the Compliance Officer. That was one of the best places to work!!! Everyone there felt like they were a family and have remained loving and supportive of the remaining fellow workers.

Even though Cyrus was a “banker” he was fantastic at remodeling, even involving adding 4 1/2 to two floors, squaring off the back of the house on Cambridge St, where they live for 26 years.
