Dr. Bob. J. Foutes of Kansas City passed away Sunday February 8. Dr. Foutes was born September 28, 1924. He devoted his entire life to his family, and a career in education, which culminated in serving as Superintendent of the Turner Unified School District from 1973-1986.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Doris J. Foutes. He is survived by his son Blake Foutes (Judy), his two grandsons, Justin Foutes and Jerrod Foutes (Sunny), and two great grandchildren Marleigh Foutes and Miles Foutes. Dr. Foutes was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather and spent a lifetime solidifying that bond with his family. He will be missed dearly by his family who loved and respected him immensely.

I was well acquainted with Dr. Foutes “Bob”, as Superintendent of
Schools at Bonner Springs – U.S.D. #204 from 1964-l987.
I always enjoyed working (school) and/or playing (golf) with
him. Of course I would always let him “win”.
I appreciated what he gave to his schools and interest he
