Georganne Brown, 80, of Prairie Village, KS passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 25 at Claridge Court.
She was a kind, engaging and supportive person with a sharp wit who greatly enjoyed music, dancing, flowers, photography, friends and family. A graduate of the University of Kansas with a music degree, she was a member of Chi Omega and worked primarily as a music instructor and legal secretary. She sang in the choir at Valley View United Methodist Church for years and loved animals, including her dogs Ralph, Calhoun, Benji and Ginger.
Georganne was born in San Francisco, the youngest daughter of George H. and Lucile (Munzenmayer) Brown, and was raised in Junction City, KS. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Childers, sons Dan Jones and Ken (Jennifer) Jones, and grandchildren Ryan, Lauren, Brandon, Maren and Mackenna.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 10 from 2-4 pm (open house) at The Carriage Club (South Building), 5301 State Line Rd, Kansas City, MO 64112.
