Glenna F. Wilber passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022 at The St.Luke’s Hospice House surrounded by her family.

She was born in Kansas City, MO the only child of Glenn and Leota Richards of Mission Hills, KS. She attended Southwest High School and went on to the University of Kansas where she received a B.S. in elementary education.

She was President of Fellow Wives at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, President of Parent Teachers Association at Prairie School, President of the Parents Association of Sunset Hill, Board member and Volunteer at Crippled Children’s Nursery School, now called Children’s TLC. Board Member of Junior Women’s Philharmonic, Board member of Kansas City Ballet Women’s Guild, Board member of St. Luke’s Staff Wives, Member of Board of Trustees Sunset Hill School, Captain, United Way of Johnson County, Member of Society of Fellows of Nelson Gallery Foundation, Member of American Association of University Women, member of Gamma Phi Beta National Sorority, Hostess for National Convention of American Society of Internal Medicine. Member of Kansas City Country Club and a member of the River Club.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, her Monday night dinner group, traveling, book club and her furry companion, Cooper.

She is proceeded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert D. Wilber, MD. Survivors include Lori and Chris Nastav and their children Liza and Savannah Christopher and Brandon Nastav, Leana and Dave Brayshaw and their children, Ellie, Laura and Kate Brayshaw.

A celebration of life reception will be held at the Kansas City Country Club on Friday, June 17, 2022.  There will be a private family burial.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to St. Luke’s Hospice House, 3516 Summit Street, Kansas City, MO 64111.
