Kent Wilson of Lee’s Summit, MO passed quietly at his home on November 5, 2018.  Kent was born in Windsor, MO on August 6, 1940.  He met and married the love of his life, Sue Kennedy, and they have enjoyed 60 years of marriage.  Kent and Sue moved to Lee’s Summit after Kent graduated from Central Missouri State University with a degree in education.  He worked for AT&T for 27 years and in 1992, accepted a teaching position in business at DeVry University.  He completed a MBA while at DeVry and retired in 2015.  Kent was an avid hunter, angler, and loved playing competitive chess with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Wilson, brother Robert Lynn Wilson, children Sherri Russell, Kenda Worsfold, Kyle Wilson, nephew Matt Wilson, niece Emily Bower, grandchildren Brady Wilson, Morgan Householder, Lauren Marcucci-Gravino, Mary Russell, Noah Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Eli Wilson, Tatum Wilson, and great-grandchildren Henry Householder and William Householder.

A private service of remembrance will be held for family and an public  internment will be held on Saturday, November 15that 11:00am at Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery, 806 SE Third St., Lee’s Summit, MO 64063.  In lieu  of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to The Quail Forever Habitat Organization: https://quailforever.org.
