Harrison Thomas Rupp, July 23, 2001 – April 10, 2017, was born in Overland Park, KS to Megan Clem of Mission Woods, KS and Seth Rupp of Lenexa, KS. Harrison was a freshman at Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, MO.

Harrison, who lettered in both varsity swimming and hockey as a freshman, was an admired team player both on and off the field. He enjoyed playing against his childhood friends in a variety of sports. A friend recently described him as “so nice about it” after he lost a tennis match to Harrison – a true testament to his character. Harrison’s kindness radiated to everyone who knew him.

Beyond athletics, Harrison enjoyed being with his many friends – especially at The Carriage Club, where he spent his summers swimming and his winters playing hockey, traveling, playing Xbox, and being an amazing son, brother and friend.

Harrison was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ed and Carol Clem, and his paternal aunt, Holly Rupp Flannagan. He is survived by his parents, Megan Clem and Seth Rupp; his stepparents Jeff Lynch and Elizabeth Said; his little sister Claire Rupp and siblings Morgan, Sammy, Hannah, Maci and Halli Said and Alex and Kaitlyn Lynch; his grandparents Terry and Sandy Rupp and Leonard and Carol Lynch; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Harrison will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was caring, bold, intelligent, competitive, and quick-witted. Harrison and his infectious smile will forever hold a place in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Visitation Church, 5141 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64112. A reception will follow at The Carriage Club, 5301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64112.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harrison Thomas Rupp Memorial Fund to support youth suffering from anxiety and depression.
