Jacqueline L Rozine May 25, 1930 – December 1, 2021

Jackie was a friend to everyone. She loved to laugh and play practical jokes on her friends and family.

She was a loving wife for 70 years to the love of her life that swept her off her feet upon his return from World War II. She was a mother, homemaker and professional artist while the children were growing up. She won awards and sold many of her paintings. As the children got older, she began a career with the Wyandotte County Libraries as a children’s librarian. She started story hours for the children telling many of her own stories as well as classics. That quickly became so much more. Jackie loved Halloween and perfected an elaborate witch’s costume over the years wearing it to pass out candy and tell ghost stories. She was featured at Old Shawnee Town and the Kansas City Zoo. After retiring from the library, she traveled all over telling stories with the River Prairie Storyweavers. She shared stories from her childhood and entertained all age groups for over 20 years.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Lori, her husband Darren, daughter Shannon and three great grandchildren. Her son, Chris, his wife Ann, and their sons, Anthony and Michael. She will be greatly missed by all.
