June Baylis, May 18, 1921 – November 28, 2016
I was a pistol. From my early days flying down the hills of Montreal on my roller skates to racing down mountains on skis, I never let a moment go un-lived.
I loved (in no particular order): my loving neighbors over the years, my Mustang convertibles, my poodles, martinis, a good cup of coffee and a cigarette, music and dancing, my second hand “boutiques” where my loving care packages got their start, tennis, biking, boating (especially on the Chesapeake Bay), and The Juney, our live aboard boat.
My journey has not ended. You can find me in Edmonton, Alberta, where I was born, Montreal, where I grew up, Grand Island, NY, where I raised my family, the Florida Keys and the Abacos, where we spent many wonderful years traveling the waters, and in Brazil, where I lived for several years.
“I have a meeting with my sweet Jesus, and a reunion with my parents, Frank and Eva Reid, my brothers Allen and Earl, my son John, my husbands, Walt and Fran, and my sweet Beau and Coquette.
In the end, I am so thankful to God for the life I have lived, my darling daughters and grandchildren, my wonderful family, friends and neighbors, and the opportunity to travel the world.
With all my love and gratitude, June”
