Kim 57, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 after a long cancer related illness. She was born in Lawrence, KS and moved to Prairie Village, KS when she was two. After grade school, she moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where attended junior high school and developed her lifelong love for horses. She attended the American High School in Den Haag, Netherlands and finished high school at The Greir School, an equestrian oriented school in Tyrone, PA. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles where she attended cosmetology school and became certified as a barber. She married and had a son who died tragically in a swimming pool accident at the age of 2 ½ . She had two more children, Erin and Tierney. Kim moved back to Prairie Village in 1995. She recently married Frank Dasta and converted to the Roman Catholic Faith.

Besides Erin and Tierney, Kim leaves behind husband, Frank A. Dasta, father Harry Old, Jr.; brother Harry Old, III; mother-in-law Helen Dasta, sister-in-law Emily (Jeff) Miller, niece Gabrielle; sister-in-law Maria (Jessie) Perez and their ten children. She also leaves behind brothers-in-law Dominic and John Dasta; Aunt Doris Sharp; Aunt Sue (Dick) Gardner; Uncle Rick (Virginia) Old; granddaughter Judith “Roxie” Calhoun; along with numerous cousins, extended family and many friends.

Services will be on Thursday, December 1st, 2016 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS, 66208. Rosary will be prayed at 9AM followed by visitation until Mass at 10:00 and a luncheon to follow. Assistance by Funeral Advocates, LLC.
