Patricia Bergloff, a beacon of kindness and service, passed away on June 9, 2024, at the age of 60. Born on February 24, 1964, in California, Patricia spent most of her life enriching the community of Kansas City, Missouri, with her generous spirit and passion for helping others.

Patricia is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Ashley Love, and her siblings, Karen Widdis and John Boren.

A dedicated public servant, Patricia retired from a distinguished career as an investigative analyst with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Her commitment to justice and safety did not end with retirement; instead, she channeled her energy into full-time work with RefugeKC, embodying her lifelong mission of serving others.

Patricia’s warmth and compassion were evident in all aspects of her life. She found joy in the simple pleasures: savoring a good book, sipping tea or coffee, and engaging in heartfelt conversations. Her home was a haven, where she often relaxed in her beloved slippers and a Bible in hand.

Throughout her life, Patricia was deeply involved in both her church and community. Her extraordinary generosity knew no bounds, and her sassy wit brought smiles to all who knew her. Patricia’s kindness was not just a trait, but a way of life that touched countless individuals.

In honoring Patricia’s memory, the family suggests donations to RefugeKC, the ministry so close to her heart. These gestures will help continue the legacy of service and compassion that Patricia championed.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 10:30am at Iglesia Bautista Palabra Viva with a reception at Eleos Coffee House after. All who were touched by her remarkable spirit are welcome to attend and share stories of how she brightened their lives.”
