Roxanne Elaine Reber, 54
Beloved daughter, sister, and aunt passed away February 20th in Overland Park, Kansas of complications from chemotherapy treatment, following surgery last Christmas Eve. She had remained cheerful throughout and her death came without warning.
Roxanne had a long successful career in commercial design and move management. After attending the University of Kansas where she was a Gamma Phi Beta she finished her senior year at California School of the Arts and earned a Fine Arts Degree in Commercial Interior Design. She later formed Reber Design Management and enjoyed working with her clients and co-horts in the Kansas City area.
Roxanne’s work history was comprised of interior design, ergonomic training and development, and move management for major corporations such as Sprint and AT & T. She was a professional member of the International Interior Design Association.
Roxanne exhibited a natural grace as a child, and led the high-kicking Trojanette dance team at Andover, Kansas High School. Later her high-speed trips back and forth (Wichita-Lawrence) set new records, but she never creased a fender.
Roxanne is survived by her loving family, Father and Mother: Ralfe and Sondra Reber; Brother: R. D. Reber, Jr.; Sisters: Marta (Larry) Warren and her children Erin (Ben) Clarke, Elizabeth O’Neill, and Elaine O’Neill; Jennifer (Alan) Poole and their children Emma Poole and James Poole; and half-sister Carol Reber Wilson and her children Jennifer Wilson and Brett Wilson.
Visitation will be held at Signature Funerals, 8019 State Line Rd., Kansas City, MO, Saturday, February 23 from 3:00-5:00 pm.
Memorials to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 1148 S. Hillside, Ste. 11, Wichita, KS 67211-4005.

What unforgettable memories I have of Roxanne. I can’t hear a Barbra Streisand song without thinking of her. She was so full of joy, and fun.
Dearest Reber Family, I was just looking at pictures of me and Roxanne last Monday. The pictures were of our dance recitals when we were about 4 years old. We re-connected in the last couple of years and I looked forward to seeing her soon when I travel to KC. Sending prayers of comfort for all of you. Love to you all, Sandra
I will always have fond memories of Roxanne. From the moment she came to Andover in 6th grade, she was a cheerful spirit to be around. I never remember her being sad or saying a bad thing about anyone. She was kind to you no matter what. She will be so missed by everyone in our class. God bless her family and I will remember them all in my prayers.
Dear Reber Family,
I’m so sorry for your loss. I got to know Roxanne through the Centurions program. She was a very kind and affable person, and I appreciated her friendship tremendously. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that she had a great impact on others during her life.
Sincerely,
Pete Lacy
Dear Reber family, May God give you strength and peace during this time of loss. Wonderful memories of Roxanne growing up together in Andover. You all are in my prayers.
Reber Family,
We are very saddened to hear of the loss of Roxanne. As a young professional right out of college I had the pleasure of working for the same firm as Roxanne, and learning from her. After working together for nearly 9 years, I have been sitting here and going through all of those little memories I have of Roxanne. She will be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you,
Chuck and Barb Mies and Family.
Roxanne was a very dear person and happy I was her friend when she lived in Ohio. She took care of her friends in a grand way. She threw me a surprise 60th birthday party. The only person to ever throw me a surprise party. I will cherish that memory and those pictures for a long time. I am sure she is at peace with the angels. Her family will be in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Ann Barlow
I would like to extend my condolences to Roxanne’s family and close friends. I know that there were many, and I share in the sadness of this news. Roxanne was a friend of many years ago. I have always admired her spirit, professionalism, and her ability to have fun, throughout. She has been a good and kind friend, but I take comfort in the fact that she is in Good Hands, and laughing with Angels, this day.
Though I had not seen Roxanne in a number of years, I remember her fondly. I am sorry for your loss, she was a terrific girl. Michael “Satch” Saunders
Dear Reber Family,
I live two townhouses down from Roxanne. I met her at a Christmas party one of our neighbors had this year. We had so much fun that night razzing each other. She was a fun and kind spirit. Her life was much too short. I wish we could have spent more time together. She never said a word about having cancer. When my neighbor knocked on my door a few minutes ago to tell me what had happened, I was devastated. She will be missed by many, including me. I am so sorry for your loss.
I only went to school with Roxanne from 6th through 8th grade in Andover, but can still remember her bright spirit like it was yesterday. So glad that I got to see her at the 30-year reunion. May God comfort all who loved her.
With sincerest sympathy,
Joe Gilmore

Sincerely and with love,

I met Roxanne when she first moved to Kansas City and her outgoing personality made us instant friends. We shared so many great times together and she even was able to get me to appreciate country music. Her design knowledge was so outstanding and I learned so much from her. I would always call her the queen of nicknacks and she had such a way of having everything in just the right place.
Heaven has received a wonderful gal! I’m sure she is busy arranging her nicknacks and will be rounding up some handsome cowboys to hangout with and teach how to two step.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I met Roxanne when we were both working for JLL at Sprint. She became a very dear friend. I would puppy sit for Chloe when she had to be out of town. She touched my life very deeply and will be greatly missed. I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the Reber family. I hope you can take comfort in knowing that to know Roxanne was very special.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I will keep the family in prayer during this very difficult time. She will be missed here at AT&T.
I met Roxanne last year when I worked with her at AT&T. She was so happy and a joy to be around. I was saddened when I heard of her passing. I will be thinking of her family during this time.
