Sylvia Rita Billington (91) died April 12, 2020 in her Kansas City, MO care center, Bishop Spencer Place, with her daughters nearby.

Sylvia’s husband, William (Bill) Robert Billington, died in 2013. Sylvia is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Mark) Colburn of Shawnee, KS and Alisa (Jason) Morrison, of Baltimore, MD, grandchildren (Amanda, Caroline, Elizabeth and George Colburn), and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Sylvia was born to Albert and Elvira Fidanza on April 14, 1928 in Fort Lee NJ. Sylvia was the middle child of Albert and Elvira’s. Sylvia’s brothers have also passed on. Sylvia married Bill Billington in 1957. After marriage Sylvia continued to work at Precision Film Lab in New York City. (Sylvia started working for Precision in high school so held many positions there during her tenure.). Bill and Sylvia then came to Ellicott City in 1959 when Bill took a position with Carnation Foods. After Bill’s passing Sylvia moved to Kansas City to be closer to the grandchildren. Children and animals were special delights to Sylvia.

Sylvia’s funeral mass will be on July 27, 2022 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Ellicott City MD at 11:00 am. Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery, also in Ellicott City.
