Thomas M. Crowley died Monday, May 13, 2024. Tom was born on March 13, 1936, to William and Frances Crowley, the youngest of four – Rosemary, Rita, and Bill. He was an outstanding high school and college athlete, attending Benedictine College on a football scholarship.

He was a CPA; a partner with Alexander Grant, retiring from his own firm, Crowley & Associates. He was an active member of St. Peter’s Parish, where he married Carole Raimo in 1959 and raised two children. Tom and Carole were married for 63 years. He served as a Eucharistic Minister in the Parish, at St. Luke’s Hospital, and at the Corrections Facility in Cameron. He coached Football and Track at St. Peter’s and is remembered still to numerous St. Peter’s ‘kids’ as Coach Crowley.
Tom was a member of the Army Reserves. He loved to hunt and fish and spent many hours at his farm and Table Rock Lake with his son and son-in-law, attempting to break the record-setting catch he made at 12 years old at Big Eleven Lake. For over 60 years, summers were spent at Table Rock and Lake Lotawana, later joined by the grandchildren and their friends. Family was first with Tom. He was a talented artist…filling Carole’s basement and neighbors, friends and local establishments with his taxidermy.

He was preceded in death by Carole, his son Steve, and his brother and sisters. He is survived by Carolyn (Mark), and beloved grandchildren, Genevieve and HunterHunter; and sister-in-law Sharon Raimo. He had a special bond with his nieces and nephews.

As Irish as Carole was Italian, Tom was a quiet man with a great sense of humor. He never raised his voice in anger and never complained, even in difficult times. His generosity was unlimited. ‘May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, and the rain fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.’

Special thanks to Sister Jaimol Joseph and Catholic Community Hospice, as well as the Geier family… neighbors for over 50 years, who looked out for him despite being teased incessantly throughout their childhood.
