Wauneta P. Andrew, 79 of Independence, MO born on March 6, 1935 passed away on March 10, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born to the late Earl R. and Roberta Goins. She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence E. Andrew, and her two brothers, John and Gerald Goins. She is survived by: her three sons and one daughter and their spouses: Terry Nicoll (Shelly), Cindy Chauvin (Mike), Steve Nicoll (Tami), and Scott Nicoll (Dori). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; her sister, Winona Hill of Shreveport, LA and her brothers and their spouses, Donald Goins (Donna) and Clifford Goins (Helen).
Wauneta grew up in the small town of Salisbury, MO. She married and moved to the Kansas City area where she was a homemaker, raised her children and remained for the rest of her life. Wauneta began working full time outside the home at a later age. She celebrated her 25 year anniversary at Wal*Mart and continued to work there until limited by her disease. We would like to thank her fellow associates for their friendship and loyalty during her illness. You were an important part of her life that made her job more enjoyable and she appreciated you.
Wauneta enjoyed country music and travelling to Branson, MO to see the shows, relax and shop. She was a Neil Diamond fan and also enjoyed camping, painting ceramics, watching the Royals, and pampering her Schnauzer, Laurie Jo. Wauneta always made the best of her life under any circumstance. She enjoyed spending time with her children.
Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 pm Thursday at Signature Funerals, 8019 State Line Road with a service following. A private burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Assistance by Funeral Advocates, LLC.
