William Kerr Steinwart, age 35, passed away Wednesday March 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, AR.

He was born on October 13, 1989, in Kansas City, MO to Ed and Mendy (Jacobs) Steinwart. Will graduated from Blue Valley High School in 2008 and then he was off to Fayetteville where he joined the Sigma Chi fraternity and earned his bachelor’s degree from the Sam Walton School of Business at the University of Arkansas in 2012.

After graduating from college, Will moved to Little Rock, AR and was excited to begin his career in the finance and banking industries. While he was living in Little Rock, Will met the love of his life. He and Kelly Comer were married on May 22, 2021, in Kansas City, MO. After getting married Will, Kelly and Koda, the crazy Pomeranian they both adore, put their roots down in Rogers, AR.

People were drawn to Will; he would light up any room he walked into. His large stature would catch your attention and then he would go to work charming you with his intelligence, wittiness and the perfectly timed joke. Will loved his family dearly and he surrounded himself with loyal and dedicated friends. We all tried to love him back as much as he loved us; we’re grateful for every moment we had with him.

Will would watch every game he could of his beloved Razorbacks, Chiefs and Royals and he loved a good round of golf. Sports weren’t his only interests, he loved documentaries about everything science and nature, begging people to play trivia with him, listening to music or the new episode of his favorite podcasts and spending time in the great outdoors. Will was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed going on hunting trips with his friends where they were always on the lookout for new “customers”.

Will is survived by his wife Kelly, his parents Mendy and Ed, and his brother Nate. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Will was preceded in death by grandparents Hal and Wilma Jacobs; Susie and Woody Steinwart. He is also preceded in death by uncle and aunt Doug and Donna Jacobs.

Will lived such a joyous and colorful life, he was a guy that never had a bad day and deserved many more.  Please wear bright colors so we can light up the room just like Will would at the Celebration of Life service to be held on Saturday, March 29 from 2:00 to 5:00 at The Nicklaus Golf Club of LionsGate, 14225 Dearborn St Overland Park, KS 66223.  Special remarks will be made at 3:30. In lieu of flowers his family requests donations in his name to the Evans Scholars Fund, 2501 Patriot Blvd., Glenview, IL 60026, 847-724-4600, wgaesf.org.
